Established in 1953 Worden Opticians has a proud 70 year history as Tarporley’s independent family owned optical practice.

In this unique practice we aim to create a warm and welcoming environment within our traditionally furnished surroundings.

Emphasis is placed on personal service, correctly fitted frames and accurately dispensed lenses.

In a market dominated by larger optical groups Worden Opticians is a small independent family owned practice dedicated to providing clients with a reassuring, individual and professional service.

Our Team

Jonathan Davies BSc (1st Class) Hons MCOptom
Jonathan graduated with a 1st Class Honours degree in Optometry from Bradford University in 1998 where was awarded the BAYO Prize for Best Student.

The recipient of two prestigious Wellcome Trust Scholarships he went on to complete his pre-registration training at the world renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital in London before taking up a resident position at Worden Opticians where he has worked continually since, purchasing the practice from the Worden family in 2011.

A familiar face in the village, Laura is the friendly, charismatic and engaging point of contact for new and existing patients alike. An exceptional administrator, Laura’s efforts ensure the smooth running of the practice and the exceptional levels of customer experience we are recognised for.
